Today I did some laundry. Pretty boring, BUT! When I went to turn on the water hose I found a scraggly iron staircase leading up to our roof! From the top you can look over most of Kotobabi and it´s beautiful.
You can also hear cheering rising up from the neighborhoods when the Ghana Black Stars score a goal (they´re playing the Lesotho Crocodiles tonight in Kumasi). The last I checked the score was 4-0 for Ghana and they had to take a short intermission due to a power outage.
Morgen gehen wir vielleicht an den Strand, und ich will Mal zu einer Schneiderin um mir neue Ghana Kleider machen zu lassen. Bei dem Makola Markt wo ich Gestern war gab es auch unmengen von bunten Stoffen zu kaufen. Manchmal ist Accra ziemlich grau und dreckig - vor allem wenn es gerade geregnet hat - aber sobald die Leute auf die Straßen strömen wird die Stadt wieder ganz bunt und lebendig.
Ich habe heute auch mit Victoria´s Tochter Jemimah telefoniert und ihr zum Schulabschluss gratuliert. Sie hat heute ihre letzte Prüfung an der Accra Universität geschrieben. Sie hat mir auch gesagt dass sie mir kochen beibringt, also gehe ich Morgen oder Übermorgen zu ihr für einen ganz persönlichen Kochunterricht ; )
